MinGW is a powerful programming tool set, shortform for Minimalist GNU for Windows. MinGW provides a complete open source suite which allows for the development of native Microsoft Windows applications which do not depend on any 3rd-party libraries or DLL files. A port of the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) is included in addition to compilers for C, C++, Fortran, Java and ADA come standard in MinGW. Bintools including assembler, achive manager and linker come standard in MinGW. A command line wrapper is also included for MinGW and MSYS deployment on all Microsoft Windows platforms.
